Story of Bir Zamanlar Kibris :

In 1963, the Greek and Turkish communities in Cyprus coexisted peacefully without any issues. The prosperous Dereli family enjoyed a contented life, managing a highly successful business on the island. However, everything changed abruptly when their family, along with other Turkish families, fell victim to an assault, now referred to as “The Bloody Noel.” Numerous families were torn apart, leading to the displacement of many individuals from their homes and villages, forcing them to seek refuge wherever possible. Kemal, the head of the Dereli family, assumes the leadership role among thousands of Turks displaced and seeking shelter on the roads.
